Streaming Manager for Enterprise (Ustream Align)

Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloud Video (including Ustream)

Our implementation includes a Canon Eos digital camera, an iPad, an older Panasonic camcorder and two Senhieser wireless microphones connected to a Roland digital video mixer with USB3 output to a high end Dell laptop that is hard wired to the network for better performance. It works really well but still doesn't make me a sammich.
I gave this rating because of the solution's overall usability. The learning curve for non technical people to use Ustream Align was really short. Just turn everything on, log in to Ustream, and click the Go Live button. Pretty darn simple if you were to ask me. Which, of course, you just did.
We use Ustream Align to educate and recertify licensed healthcare providers on the use of ART (Active Release Techniques) our patented soft tissue treatment techniques and to help our elite providers who treat employees in corporate settings with complex cases in order to decrease the number of treatments and increase our protocol efficacy.
  • High throughput webcasts
  • Instantaneous streaming
  • Reliable recordings
  • Plenty of storage
  • Excellent technical support
  • Bulk edit, management and download of recorded videos
  • Align specific ipad app
The outcomes we have achieved are that we are able to use Ustream Align to educate and recertify licensed healthcare providers on the use of ART (Active Release Techniques) our patented soft tissue treatment techniques and to help our elite providers who treat employees in corporate settings with complex cases in order to decrease the number of treatments and increase our protocol efficacy.
Ustream Align is a much better product than Pro and Enterprise for different reasons. The pro version just doesn't do enough and The enterprise version lacked the ability to secure channels and videos the way that we have been able to using Ustream Align. All in all a much superior product to the other two.

Ustream is very well suited for a large audience and extended length webcasting, storage of vast quantities and amounts of videos, protection from the public downloading videos that we don't want them to, and control of access to those videos.

Not very well suited for collaboration, learning management, or making me a sammich.
