Overall Satisfaction with IBM Planning Analytics

General ledger and sales reporting with the board reporting suite. Management reporting, month-end reporting, and dashboards. It addresses the problem of one singular source of truth for reporting purposes and multiple users analyzing the same data set and communicating results and analysis findings using the one data set within data cubes in TM1.
  • Data cubes
  • Data rules processing
  • PAX is extremely slow: needs to be at the performance level of perspectives.
  • PAW dash boarding is complicated.
  • Increased productivity.
  • Decreased reporting turnaround time.
Oracle does not come close. Day to day reporting in IBM PA is much more efficient and flexible.
IBM Support is a bit hit or miss. They seem to ask scripted questions and don't have a full understanding of the issues at hand.
