Overall Satisfaction with IBM Planning Analytics with Watson

Planning Analytics with Watson has used a modeling tool for both financial and non-financial metrics. It allows for rapid data analysis, scenario modeling, and "what-if" capabilities which are key to an organization's budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions. It overcomes the issues of complex models built in Excel spreadsheets, disparate data sources, and lack of governance and control.
  • Easy to use - users are able to plan, create, and analyze content in a highly graphical and visual way
  • Speed - Fast data loading and real time on demand calculations
  • Powerful modelling capabilities to suit any business
  • Additional visualisation capabilities
  • Additional export capabilities to Microsoft Office suite such as PowerPoint and Word
  • Time saving by having automated data loads with built in data validation
  • Empowers users by giving them self serving capabilities without having to rely on IT
Planning Analytics can provide all P&L, Balance Sheets, and CashFlow reporting against any number of versions or scenarios. The multi-dimensional nature of Planning Analytics allows dimensions to be shared amongst different cubes. Versions can be generated by users for comparison analysis and deleted when no longer required while publishing or saving the best fit-for-purpose result. This allows iterative what-if scenario modeling to be run and compared and then used as the basis for the next round of scenario analysis.

With a feature-rich web-based interface known as PAW – Planning Analytics Workspace, users are able to plan, create, and analyze content in a highly graphical and visual way facilitating consumption of data and information in a manner suitable for the audience. The drag and drop features, inherent within the platform allow the users to design and build interactive visualizations and dashboards from the data. As a result, the solution is easy to get started with, making the adoption of the platform pretty seamless. The created content can then be shared with others within or outside of the business as an organization's security framework allows.
Planning Analytics with Watson is suited to any organization which is facing difficulties in analyzing data to prepare budgets, forecasts, or actual reporting. With new predictive forecasting capabilities, it puts the power of algorithmic forecasting in the hands of users for more accurate, consistent, and timely forecasts. It has a simple web-based experience for fast performance and agile real-time decision-making. This is valuable for organizations that continue to plan in manual spreadsheets, which lack governance and are overly complex.
