Overall Satisfaction with IBM Power

The IBM Power System S924 was deployed to multiple client locations for their on site and cloud environment needs. It was utilized in locations that needed dedicated on site only server as well as those that utilized a cloud/VM/Citrix environment for remote work. It was the center of our recommended deployment package for our client base.

In my experience the IBM Clod Bare metal servers always give better overall performance, but lack the functionality for the cloud hybridization that the IBM Power System S924 offers. The 922 being in the same wheel house at a slightly lower price is an alternative if you are looking for the same functionality with slightly lower performance.

The IBM Power System S924 is great when utilized for larger scale companies managing the needs of a large employee base. Though it is not a fast process it's scalability allows it to purely shine in those scenarios. If the company is on the smaller side then the IBM Power System S924 is far from a good fit as you will be doing a lot of legwork for little reward.
