Power Systems Virtual Server on IBM Cloud for AIX/Linux

Overall Satisfaction with IBM Power Virtual Server

We previously were using SUSE Linux 7 and 8 and were facing lot of issues related to performance on these servers. Switching to IBM Power Virtual Server has been a charm in improving our application performance and significantly reducing the SLA related to performance for several applications. The ease of access of IBM Power Virtual Server is also excellent and very user friendly.

Would you buy IBM Power Virtual Server again?

Yes

  • Improved breach of SLA's by offering better performance
  • Handled extremely high analytical workloads with ease
  • Integration with Watson has provided better business insights
The pricing of IBM Power Virtual Server was extremely fair and feasible compared with other products like Windows or Suse or Redhat. The ease of use of IBM Power Virtual Server is also really great with an excellent UI. It is also capable in handling high analytical workloads which were frequently failing when we were using SUSE servers.
It is amazing for scenarios where high work loads related to OLAP transactions for business reporting have to be performed. It is also excellent in integration with AI tools like Watson to improve the business reporting further. It also provides the flexibility of a hybrid cloud scenario and can integrate well with on-premises systems.
