Overall Satisfaction with IBM SPSS
IBM SPSS is used by our organization for data analysis and reporting procedures. We evaluate various social programs and use data to support social programming across the state and nationally. This gives us the tools to easily summarize data and find statistically significant information to share with our stakeholders, policy makers, and social service providers.
- Summarizing descriptive statistics
- Labeling variables and input data
- Utilizing programming language to easily generate reports
- Learning curve is steep for some users
- Interface can be complex at times
- Does not run well on older computers we sometimes have to use
IBM SPSS is the statistical package universities hope to use for quantitative data. Without SPSS, we would be hand counting or using spreadsheet software to find statistical meaning and creating charts. IBM SPSS is a one stop shop for analysis and presentation in charts, graphs, and visuals. Without this, we would use up many more work hours trying to present data.
IBM SPSS is the statistical package provided to us by the larger university departments. It helps us in our grant writing, evaluation services, and in making recommendations for policy and procedure change, helping us fulfill our mission and doing so with a solid knowledgebase.
