Overall Satisfaction with IBM Storage FlashSystem

IBM Storage FlashSystem delivers so much at an affordable price.
The use case is expandable and certainly improved our service delivery and general practice. As an organization we tend to be selective of where we store our data (on prem is usually our preference) but to be able to break that up in to a more granular strategy has helped our business agility.
Our organization uses IBM Storage FlashSystem to provide a resilient data storage solution that is efficient and salable to our needs. We currently use the 5000 series to facilitate our mission critical virtualization data with self optimizing, fault tolerant, delivery for all of our different departments and end users. This system replaced our old file servers which were slow and maintenance heavy in comparison.

We used aged file servers before, so boy did we noticed a speed increase when we switched over. We think this system helps you shape your data and integrate it in any development plans you may have. We found it very simplistic to justify with our finance team/CEO as it ticked all of our requirements.

A massive performance increase is the main difference with IBM Storage FlashSystem. We used Dell solutions for years and whilst good, we found ever increasing volume sizes mixed with more complex storage needs and the ever decreasing project budget, the main factors for our decision to look at other solutions. We found a product that more than just delivers for us now, but also the delivers for the future.

We found IBM Storage FlashSystem to be well suited to our virtualization data. No other platform that we've used delivered the ease of use and speed that we experienced.
Migrating and building new systems are particularly speedy and also maintaining them is breeze once you get your head around the basics. The confidence in immutability is greatly appreciated to help protect the integrity our our data.
