The P9 is fantastic.
Upgrade checks are automated, and the team does not need to stay awake monitoring. When there is a failure. It restores to the baseline.

This is being used as a storage for databases for the organization.

Pros

it better encrypt data stored on the databases
It works well with the NetBackup appliance
Flash storage backup of data is very fast esp. the Power 9 we acquired

Return on Investment

Fast Recovery compared to the Dell Compellent
cost saved because of its stability
Serving more customers because of its fast response

Performance

This is because of the benefits harnessed from Flash Storage System. we are better able to serve more customers. and can boost of stability of Applications and databases running on it.

the Power 8 and Power 9 are more stable than the Dell previously used.

Data restore is very efficient. there are no instances of data corruption or missing data. Recovery is seamless.
Example is where we previously had calypso database crush, but this was recovered seamlessly with no issues using our P8
