Overall Satisfaction with IBM Storage FlashSystem

When paired with Storage Insights, which was easy to get set up.
Once there, deployment reconfiguration and capacity planning were very intuitive and make management of the IBM Storage FlashSystem much less involved than competitors.
IBM Storage FlashSystem are primarily used as back end storage controllers for virtualized pools behind SAN Volume Controllers. These systems have substantially reduced footprint, power requirements and time to deploy. We have deployed IBM Storage FlashSystem to disaster recovery which has also minimized synchronous replication response times too host systems. All open system workloads have been migrated to IBM Storage FlashSystem.

The performance when compared to other vendor products which we have it much higher. With the addition of replication and ease of connectivity to allow for this boost, less port requirements, makes the performance more than we needed.
IBM Storage FlashSystem is hands down more usable, feature heavy and reliable.
Code upgrades are one of the better aspects, not risk of host timeouts due to port pauses.
Response times have also been better, as well as inter-site replication.

I can only speak to our use case.
All workloads are targeting IBM Storage FlashSystem as primary SAN storage.
This environment is approximately 20 Flash Systems, 9200 and 9500s, which provides RP for near 20,000 servers, *nix, VM, Solaris, Iseries, windows, VM etc.
