Overall Satisfaction with IBM Targetprocess

Project, product, portfolio, and resource management.

Pros

  • Very customizable
  • Integrated entities

Cons

  • UI is terrible
  • roadmapping capabilities when JIRA not used
  • over complicated UI
I gave this usability rating because, in my opinion, the IBM Targetprocess capabilities are high, UI not intuitive and clunky, which can get in way of usability and adoption.. Feels like an outdated UI that lacks the maturity to match the capabilities available
Not a tool problem - org needs to work on data standardization in order for us to use tool to full capability. Where we have cleaned up data, functionality has been great and we've received good feedback
  • IBM Apptio (formerly ApptioOne)
Financial transparency has been great. However, in our experience, in order to make the data flow from IBM Targetprocess to Apptio effectively it requires a lot of customization and tagging to make it work as expected, which was unexpected given that the tools are part of the same suite. Would recommend making that connection more seamless OOTB
Selected IBM Targetprocess because of it's integration with Apptio. We still are using Workboard as IBM Targetprocess doesn't allow a Many to many OKR connection

Tool has ability to do a lot, but in our experience, the UI gets in way of adoptability and user experience. I think we Would have better buy -in and adoption with better UI overall. Too clunky, Can get overwhelming with number of folders. In my opinion, Not intuitive
