Overall Satisfaction with IBM Watson Discovery

I was able to use IBM Watson Discovery to revise our company policies and regulations. We made amendments and made sure to include all important details. Plus, we used references to provide in-depth details on each regulation. There were a lot of documents that we needed to review in a limited amount of time, and Watson helped.

  • Provides overview and references that we could use as basis on other documents.
  • Easy to use!
  • I believe AI should be more flexible about providing data. However, it's understandable that you need to provide the details you need in a more specific and detailed way.
  • The interface could use more tweaking. Being new to the program, it was kind of hard to navigate.
  • Luckily, there was a customized feature of the dashboard that I could set up, and having something that you know where you are placed always feels familiar and comfortable.
  • Quick process on our use-case.
  • We can process many documents while reviewing and revising our main articles/knowledge base.
  • Instead of hiring someone to take over and help us. We were able to save a ton by using IBM Watson Discovery.
For starters, IBM Watson Discovery was very easy to use and set up. Google Cloud AI was more advanced in learning and navigating through it, in my opinion. Ironically, the free trial was the biggest selling point. We were trying on products, and it was faster to get started with Watson.

IBM Watson Discovery has been very helpful in providing references when we amended policies and regulations. Later, we also applied it by making our standard operating procedures per each platform and program we used. We were initially reluctant to try it, but it's a good thing that Watson offers a free trial.
