Overall Satisfaction with IBM webMethods

Integration products. We are using it for all kinds of integration challanges. We use the API management as well. Through API Management we make our communication with partners much more secure and more fluent. The time to market is excellent, this means from the time of development to the time of going life we save a ton of time investment compared to the previous solution we had.

Pros

  • API management
  • B2B
  • MFT - Managed File Transfer
  • App Integration

Cons

  • This question is tricky to be answered, actually I'm thinking about user management and governmance
  • As earlier mentioned, the time to market is excellent
  • This brings automatically with it that the ROI will be earlier accomplished then with other products
API management, Integration, B2B, Managed file transfer.

Well integrated

Cumbersome
  • Integrating cloud to cloud systems, for example Atlassian to Salesforce or vice versa
  • Integrating an On-premise legacy system with a cloud subscription: Ex. On-premise SQL DB with Azure Service Bus
  • API management is particularly elegant and easy to understand, straight ahead, with integrated test procedures of the newly created APIs
  • The Data Transformation capabilities of webMethods are easy to understand and logically integrated into the UI and of course advanced users will find particular functions which will help them achieve complex scenarios as well
  • I have to be honest, the data transformation capabilities for advanced users I found quite tricky to use: nodejs coding in my particular case.
