Overall Satisfaction with IDrive
IDrive is used to backup all personal devices for a single user securing their data. This includes Windows, Linux, Android and iOS devices. Besides, IDrive Cloud is used to synchronize the personal documents and photos between all desktop devices. Besides, the IDrive Cloud makes these files available on mobile devices as well.
Pros
- Apps for multiple platforms: at least Windows, Linux, Android and iOS.
- Lots of storage for a low price
- Elaborate FAQ on their website
- Centralized management of backups for all devices in the web interface
Cons
- User Interface feels slow (both the app and web dashboard)
- A lower tier Personal plan would be welcome
- No Paypal payment
- Cross platform compatibility
- Backup and Cloud storage in one product
- Disk image backups
- No worries about data loss, so more productive time
- Easy management, so less time spend on backups
OneDrive offers cloud storage with a better (more features and more user-friendly) interface than IDrive. However, IDrive adds backup features, whereas OneDrive only synchronizes files. So for backing up you would need an additional service next to OneDrive, whereas IDrive has this built-in. IDrive is also cheaper per GB than OneDrive.
