Overall Satisfaction with Infusionsoft

When we were searching for a new CRM our IT coordinator suggested Infusionsoft. We were never really looking for a marketing piece of software, which is what infusionsoft is. The CRM capabilities of this program are rudimentary and you could almost administer a customer list out of outlook and it would work just as well. With that being said if a company is looking for an email marketing platform first with an afterthought of a CRM then this might be an acceptable product. However, if you are looking for a good quality CRM there are much better choices on the market that don't have the same price point as infusionsoft.
  • email marketing
  • campaign marketing
  • task assignment, although having an easy way to follow up on tasks assigned isn't available
  • Any Sales Process side functionality is either not available or very poor.
  • A better Sales manager dashboard would be helpful
  • More flexibility in the set up of the dashboard. The whole software is pretty rigid. It seems alot like 2005 when you are using infusionsoft
  • For our business this program had absolutely no ROI. Implementing this program cost money and lost production time. After infusionsoft we had to work harder to manager customer information. This was 100% a cost to the company, not an investment.
  • They have a plugin for outlook that allows emails to be saved. The problem is that it rarely works and when it does work it slows outlook down to a crawl. They boast about an email generator, which they have. What they don't say is that there is no spell check in their email generator. In order to be professional and make sure spelling and grammar is OK, emails still have to be typed in a word processor and copied into email generator. It is the worst system I have even seen.
Infusionsoft would rank below every VRM I listed in an overall score. It is less expensive than Salesforce but the price variance isn't really enough to help infusionsoft. Infusionsoft is a little easier to use than Prosperworks but with a price of $600 per month and $7 per month respectively. I think Prosperworks is a much better CRM
If a company has a good CRM and they are looking for a way to manage email campaigns then this may be a good fit for them. For me to actually recommend it I would want to see if it would be compatible with good quality CRM's on the market.
