Overall Satisfaction with Insightly

Marketing automation, with a focus on email comms. We do email blasts, journeys for onboarding, and event participation transactional emails. We use it lightly for landing pages. I believe It’s a challenge to do much more with Insightly. We’re in the process of switching to a more robust tool.
  • Doubled the time it takes to execute any marketing campaign, in my opinion- we build in “Insightly management” into project plans
  • Reduced confidence in data, given it is often wrong, I've found.
There are a lot of buttons where you think “hmm, what does this do?” (Because, in my opinion, the labeling/copy choice is often terrible). Then you press them and they either do nothing, or do something counterintuitive I found. In my experience, For example, to upload a list, you have to find the somewhat hidden option in a side bar, instead of pressing the Add button. Reporting usually involves downloading multiple reports and patching them together in Excel.
I believe it gives you 1/3rd of the functionality for the same cost. We’re moving off Insightly next month.

Would you buy Insightly Marketing again?

I’ve used Marketo, Hubspot, Eloqua, and have seen many demos of Pardot. In my opinion, Insightly doesn’t do much more than send emails (and sometimes even struggles with that) and yet is the cost of the other solutions on the market. In my opinion, I’ve seen no product improvements in the year I’ve been using it, no sign of a roadmap, and no interest from the team on making improvements or even gathering feedback. In my opinion, I would hazard a guess no one on their product team has ever worked in marketing. I believe The fact that the company is doing a reviews generation campaign shows how blind they are to user feedback - In my experience, I don’t know a single marketer who has had a positive experience. I believe One look at their “marketplace” with so few integrations tells you how little focus their is on solving the needs of marketers and also that the market is ignoring Insightly.
