Overall Satisfaction with InvGate Assets

The software is our asset monitor that ties directly to our helpdesk system. The software is used to monitor hardware and software.

Pros

  • Easy deployment
  • Ability to add non pc assets
  • Web based application

Cons

  • Reporting
  • Fine details of system (bios etc)
  • Remote support to end users
  • Single pane of glass
  • Inexpensive per endpoint
  • Able to track all harware
Spiceworks had more features and options but was not designed for a large environment. Also it did not integrate and did not have an API.
Smaller environments (under 1000)
Does not work well w with older systems, xp/2003

Using InvGate Assets

5 - Entire IT dept uses the softwar e for mgmt of hardware and software
1 - Basic skills. The application has every single feature you can think of. All of the support is provided through GUI of application.
