Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We began using InVision Freehand during client requirements gathering sessions (in-person) to help everyone visualize how the requirements could play out in a user experience. Having this foundation already in place was critical to transitioning to remote sessions during the pandemic. Now we usually prep some stimuli in InVision Freehand prior but use it on the whiteboard on the fly. Our clients loved it even when we were in person bc the people dialing in didn’t feel out of sync bc they couldn’t see a physical whiteboard. It’s really our go-to whiteboarding solution.

Pros and Cons

Easy to learn
Allows us to convey the fidelity of what we create from sketch looks to polished wire frames.
Easy to share in a remote environment

Miro is another tool we use. I know there are features that Miro has that our team uses but they escape me.

Being able to easily drop in images or other asset types into a board

It definitely makes us look like the smartest people in the meeting by supplying the mechanism to make the working session most productive

Miro

I prefer InVision Freehand because I think it’s easier to use. Some in my organization prefer Miro.
