Overall Satisfaction with ironSource

We leverage IronSource on the demand side for both non-incent and incent traffic to acquire users for our app. It's another media partner that we like to leverage to supplement our buys on Google and Facebook. A good way to complement our other media partners and diversify our traffic as much as possible instead of relying on Google and FB

Pros

  • Dedicated account manager to keep things running smoothly and provide feedback weekly
  • Great reach of publishers
  • Large verity of ad formats

Cons

  • Not too many publishers for Brasil
  • Issues with delivering expected volume based on bid landscape suggested by the AM
  • Fraudulent traffic slips through their fraud prevention system
  • Easy to use
  • Dedicated AM
  • Great results and ROI
  • Helps us bring down our high CAC
  • Good scalability which can lead to better ROI
We were wanting to expand our channels, and IS stood out from the others because of their presence in other verticals that suited our target audience. We would not propose utilizing IS to replace any of your existing DSPs, but rather to supplement the DSPs you are already using.

Although IS is mostly utilized for apps in the gaming vertical, and the bulk of their publishers are also in the gaming vertical, we have had some success using its DSP. As a non-gaming app, we occasionally struggle to find a reliable source of constant inventory and growth. However, with IS, we've found a few good pockets (publishers) that appear to back out extremely well for us.
