Overall Satisfaction with Jamf Pro
We use it to manage faculty and staff systems as well as classroom and classroom lab Macs. We support an entire college in The University of Texas and we have a huge range of Macs that must meet compliance on the University network. Because we offer a wide range of support services to this community, it is imperative that we have tools to help address system changes, application installs, configuration tracking, and remote troubleshooting. JAMF Pro serves that purpose. We only have a small number of techs and an exponentially growing collection of support tickets that have to be addressed. The more time we can cut out by being proactive or reactive towards a group vs individual system issues, the more successful we are in supporting this community.
- Dashboard view is a benefit. Quick review of key areas helps direct focus.
- Ability to have another tech takeover with limited need for training up. Tool is very intuitive
- JAMF support is very responsive
- Easy to deploy in our environment. The Jumpstart was thorough and easy to follow
- Patch management
- Reporting could use ability to drill down further into the details
- I lost 1 tech for a position that offered more than twice their salary. JAMF made it easy to have a second tech slide in to address. It was seamless and did not require tons of pre-training to get them set up. He is not a JAMF admin and is handling the work like a champ.
Does stack up. JAMF PRO is far superior and handles the needs effectively without extensive work from the tech to accomplish.
