Overall Satisfaction with Jamf Pro
Jamf Pro is used to manage all Macs across the whole organization. It facilitates initial configuration of new Macs utilizing Apple's Device Enrollment, deploying configuration profiles, software installations, patching, and OS upgrades.
- Day 1 support of new macOS features. It is important to be able to support new macOS features so that we can allow users to upgrade as soon as possible.
- Zero-touch deployments. Utilizing DEP and configuration profiles allows us to streamline computer deployments for new users.
- Restricted Software. In our environment, it is important to be able to restrict certain software from running I fit is know malware.
- Jamf has been promising automated patching for years. They have delivered some baby steps, but we are still far from a fully automated workflow.
- I would like to see Jamf add support for databases other than mySQL.
- I would like to see more transparency on open and know product issues.
- Jamf Pro makes it easy for a few Apple engineers to manage a large fleet of Mac devices.
Jamf Pro is far easier to use and much more feature rich than the other products I have used in the past. It supports new versions of the macOS far faster than the other products I have used. It is more scalable and able to keep the fleet better managed than other products. I selected Jamf Pro for all of these reasons.
