Overall Satisfaction with Jamf Pro
We are currently using Jamf Pro to manage over 300 iOS devices, all iPad, and mainly for high school, grades 9-12.
- Restrictions are great. There are certain things, such as camera use, that we wanted to restrict on all devices.
- Smart Groups and scoping are also really good. The amount of criteria that Jamf Pro collects and allows in the creation of smart groups means that we can very granularly manage our devices.
- Jamf support is good. We've not had to use it much, but when we have, they've been great. Having a great product is one thing, but if there isn't great support to back it up, is it worth it? Jamf has both.
- Some may say location tracking, but I like that Jamf does not do location tracking.
- One downside is the 50 seat minimum, but I understand why it's there.
- Jamf Pro has drastically cut back on the time and effort once needed for managing our iPad devices.
- In a matter of minutes, we were able to push out settings for around 300 devices. But even it had been 3000, it still would have been the same amount of time.
I've had limited experience with Meraki.
