Overall Satisfaction with Jira Product Discovery

Our Product Team was looking for a "front door" ideation tool, and after evaluating over ten different products with similar functions and features, we found that Jira Product Discovery was the perfect fit for our business.A key factor in our decision was the seamless integration with Jira and Confluence, as our DevOps and Delivery teams already work within these Atlassian tools. This minimal integration and reduced administration burden, combined with the familiarity of the Atlassian ecosystem, significantly lessened the learning curve for our teams and leaders.The support we received from our account and technical teams was exceptional. They provided assistance every step of the way, including feature demos tailored to our unique business needs, ensuring everyone felt comfortable with the new tool.

Pros

  • Timeline view of ideas and the way you can group these into different views is fantastic.
  • The ability to have connections to the main idea as sub ideas before reaching our delivery teams.
  • Admin and feature controlls are great and getting even better.
  • Recycling fields and goals from the other Atlassian products makes things easier to see and understand.

Cons

  • Theres room for improvement with the matrix views. These seem to be hard to use and understand
  • Timeline could be improved by allowing for customised time frames rather than monthly, quaterly or yearly views.
  • When creating roles having better controlls over what each role can access and use could be imporved.
  • Our stakeholders can see the progress of ideas without needing spreadsheets and slide packs - reduced people costs
If you know Jira you'll understand Jira Product Discovery very quickly so the learning cure is shortened
Cost per license was attractive and the ability to manage roles with differnt licenses is a plus
