Our organization uses Jira Software extensively for the development, engineering, product, design, and support teams. We manage all of our projects within Jira Software, and our support team also uses it to create bug tickets, tasks, and UX improvement requests on behalf of our customers. It allows for effective and streamlined communications between our teams globally and in various time zones.

Limitations on things like file sizes make it difficult to collaborate at times; we need to use a cloud host like Dropbox to host files, such as videos, that are too large

Jira Software has allowed us to consolidate numerous project management platforms into one system, which has saved us time and cycles on development and stories.
The ability to create custom boards and reports allows us to quickly report on the status of projects; this means we spend more time on development and less time reporting.
The integrations that are available allow us to easily integrate with other platforms we're using; the most helpful has been our service desk software, HelpScout.

GitHub and Asana

Our teams previously used GitHub, Asana, and Jira Software before we consolidated everything into Jira Software. While some teams still use GitHub for particular development projects, we have found Jira Software to be more well-rounded than the competitors we replaced, and this has cut down on our tech stack costs. Jira Software is also very well known among our new-hire developers, which means decreased onboarding time.
