Overall Satisfaction with Motive

We use this for ELD requirements, engine diagnostics, GPS locations and monthly and quarterly reports. This program is vital for a number of areas in our company and has made my life significantly easier with having multiple options under one platform. I am able to monitor where my drivers are even when they are out of cell service, complete monthly and quarterly reports more efficiently due to the GPS monitoring mileage in each state and breaking it down by month, and the program has helped to identify engine issues as well.

  • Logs are simpler
  • It would be nice to see a way to link mileage for the day with the log so I don’t have to search for it separately for a report.
  • It has increased productivity for the driver as he is not having to fight log books. The program is user friendly even for the electronically challenged.
  • It has significantly improved productivity for myself in the office as I am not spending hours pulling reports and manually trying to go through mileage for the month.
We have had only a couple of issues and both of them were resolved with a simple call from myself or the driver.
We never had GPS locator before so that has been a huge benefit for our customers as well as myself in the office for dispatching. I struggled each month with making sure that I had the mileage correct for monthly and quarterly reports. Now with the built in GPS monitoring, it is all done for me and reports are a breeze.
As mentioned before, the couple of issues we’ve had the driver and/or myself have been able to call and get resolved immediately. With other companies in the past, I’ve had to call multiple times and some items were never resolved. It’s nice to have a company who’s products work.
We had another service prior to this with HOS Reporter and we had months of problems with it before a leased on driver suggested your company. I made months of calls with no resolution, mileage wasn’t tracked correctly so I was having to do it all manually, the GPS locator was off by sometimes as much as 50 miles or more. It was garbage.

We use many of the features of Motive, but there are many that we don’t use either. So far I am only utilizing four or five of the reports functions.
