Overall Satisfaction with Kemp LoadMaster

We currently use Kemp LoadMasters across the whole organization. They sit in front of everything that we can/need to make highly available. Not only do we have them running on VMware, but we also have them running in Azure. They are rock solid and we have been using them for years.
  • Ease of use.
  • Good support model.
  • Support is getting expensive.
  • We have used them for years and plan to use them for many more.
They all do the same thing, just present the functions in a different way and cost more/less. We have found that the virtual load balancers offer the same performance at the throughput that we need. While a dedicated appliance would be necessary in some applications, we don't have the need for them today and the VMs work just fine.
The Kemp load balancers have worked out great for us over the years. We started with the free trial, with limited through put and have upgraded to pairs of them wherever they are needed without looking back. Hope to use them for years to come as they have been performing well for us.
You get what you pay for with support. In the beginning we started with the business hours support and now we get the 24/7 on all of our units. When something breaks you know it's going to be in the middle of the night and on a weekend. If you are making your apps highly available then you need the 24/7 support to go with them.

Do you think Kemp LoadMaster delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Kemp LoadMaster's feature set?

Yes

Did Kemp LoadMaster live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Kemp LoadMaster go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Kemp LoadMaster again?

Yes

We use the Kemp load balancers anytime we need to do load balancing, or make DNS highly available across multiple data centers. They are easy to manage in a pair and have a free monitoring solution that alerts you when any of your real servers or the virtual servers are unhealthy. This isn't something that others do for free.
