Overall Satisfaction with Kemp LoadMaster
We are currently using the Kemp LoadMaster for internal enterprise wide applications and websites that require high availability. We wanted a product that can do the job effectively, is easy to configure and manage, can be setup as highly available, and yet does not come with a very high price tag. The Kemp LoadMaster met all those requirements.
Pros
- templates for well known applications (Exchange, ADFS, etc.)
- Easy configuration and management
- Well priced
Cons
- Virtual HA between different hypervisors (example Hyper-V and VMWare)
- Very positive ROI
When we looked at other load balancers, we ran into some issues. For some of the free ones, these don't necessarily perform as well - which is probably why they are free. When looking at some of the other brands, some are too complicated to use - they may have a ton of advanced features, but we did not need most of these. To get some of the applications working correctly, we would need more tech support just to get these setup. Many of the other products are also priced too much.
