Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)
Every user has Kofax Power PDF installed and as default program to handle PDF files. Easy to edit, combine multiple documents and scan and OCR printed documents. Also, ability to edit existing PDF documents into word documents for further editing makes this program a winner for our PDF needs and workflows.
- Edit existing PDF files.
- Convert PDF to Word and edit further.
- Scan, combine, rotate and annotate.
- Better touch and stylus support.
- Faster scanning, perhaps perform OCR as it is still scanning.
Very easy to use, some buttons and toolbars seem grouped on odd places, but once you figure it out and use it a couple of times you know exactly where to go the next time. Interface similar to Microsoft Office.
Haven't had to contact support not even once, since using the product more than 8 years ago, started with Nuance and then upgraded to Kofax.

The ability to combine multiple PDF documents on one, while rotating pages, inserting annotations and editing right in the same editor is a time saver. The extra value of being able to convert a PDF document back to Word for further editing is amazing. Highly recommend Kofax Power PDF for archiving workflows or for sharing files from multiple sources as an all-in-one document in PDF format.
Very good and fast at minor edits of existing PDF documents, plus the ability to convert to Word file for further editing. Could do better with improved touch screen support and stylus for free drawing, but the limited support it currently has is ok for most cases. When scanning, it finishes with the scanner prior to start the OCR, which could be done as the document is being scanned, to save time.
