Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)
We primarily use it for converting Word documents to PDFs, particularly when we need to combine multiple Word documents into one PDF, such as when there's a cover page or something similar. While it is not used by our entire organization, I believe our full department uses this software. We find it convenient and simple to compile documents into one PDF.
- Simple and intuitive.
- Easy to use.
- Nothing I can think of
- Time savings.
- Convenience.
I found it quite easy to use. The features were simple to find, intuitive, and did what I expected them to do. I was able to use Power PDF without requiring any tutorials, and felt quite comfortable with it fairly quickly.
I find Power PDF is easier for creating PDFs than Adobe. It's been a little while, but I also believe Adobe is more expensive, and not as intuitive to use.

Evaluating Kofax Power PDF and Competitors
- Price
- Product Features
- Product Usability
- Prior Experience with the Product
Prior experience with the product was the most important factor. We had previously used Nuance, and enjoyed the product. When we upgraded our computers, we went with Power PDF again.
I doubt it would change much. We like Power PDF, are comfortable with it, the pricing is fair, and the product is easy to use.
