Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)
I use Kofax Power PDF Advanced for its full suite of tools. It is used both for editing and publishing technical documents and drawings in PDF format. I like it for its ease of use, security, and flexibility. As a very small business of one, I have to do it all; Kofax Power PDF makes my job easier while presenting a very professional appearance at a very affordable price.

Evaluating Kofax Power PDF and Competitors
Yes - Power PDF evolved from Nuance to Kofax and I've been using it for quite a while. However, I abandoned use of its Adobe counterpart because they are too expensive and they like to radically change their user interface often without any real improvement of their features.
- Price
- Product Features
- Product Usability
- Prior Experience with the Product
The single most important factor in my choice is consistency. Second to that would be reliability.
I was already hooked on the Nuance version of Power PDF; I wouldn't change my evaluation and selection process at all. However, I do evaluate other products by comparing them to what I already know works very well, Power PDF.
Kofax Power PDF Implementation
- Implemented in-house
Change management was minimal - A product can remain great when absorbed by company other than its creator. I wish it were true in al cases.
- No issues were encountered.

No. Nor would I. A quality product supports itself. If I need to purchase premium support, I need to find a better product.
I have not needed support. The very few times I've had a question, I've been able to solve it myself; The product has a good help system.
