Overall Satisfaction with Lifesize Video Conferencing

Lifesize is good for conference rooms and small halls, but not good for very large conference rooms or halls. Training is very easy. It takes about 20 minutes and you will be a pro. Make sure you use a certified installer or a company recommend by Lifesize or you could be running into problems with setting and configuring the unit.
My company uses Lifesize for call-in weekly manager and sales meetings. Feedback has been very positive, managers have said they now don't need to travel to a remote site for monthly meetings (saving my company money and travel time). My HR department uses a Lifesize unit for interviewing prospective new hires. The feedback from HR has also been extremely positive. They use to use Skype and ran into all sorts of problems with [dropped calls] and freezing video. It's also saved time weeding out employees who may not be a good fit for our company.
  • Interviewing new hires
  • Cuts down travel for meetings
  • Able to get more feedback from meetings
  • Drops calls
  • Settings sometimes have to be reset
  • Video freezes at times
Lifesize is a great tool for conference calls for employees. Lifesize is easy to use with very little training. [There's] Less travel time for our sales team and managers. Managers would have to travel every other week to the remote site to meet with employees, now they travel once a month. In some cases, managers will travel every other month.
The bad - we try to use Lifesize to hold a company meeting (in a big hall) but the camera just could handle the lighting.
