Overall Satisfaction with Litmus
We use Litmus to build, QA, and analyze certain emails. Litmus helps us keep our templates, partials, and snippets in one place for quality control, and also provides us one tool to work out of when we're building and QAing. We also use analytics for our newsletters, which allows us to understand engagement a bit better on the longer-form emails.
- Building emails: especially with templates, partials, and snippets, and the visual editor
- QA: one-stop shop to see how emails look in all clients, as well as accessibility
- The UI is a bit confusing. It's unclear when you click things in the header that anything is happening on the screen, and it's not always clear where to go to find things like my design library. That said, I've noticed some UI improvements lately, so I think things are moving in the right direction.
- Sometimes there's an issue with speed on loading pages in Litmus.
- Shorter email review cycles
- Fewer mistakes in production emails
I can't say that it's shaped our overall marketing strategy, but I can say that having analytics in our newsletters has helped us better understand the engagement of it when clicks aren't super high.
We haven't actually used Proof yet.
