Overall Satisfaction with LiveAction LiveNX
We used LiveAction LiveNX for a network performance analyzer. The main purpose was for packet and flow use. Though it's not as advance as Extrahop for endpoint analysis, it still gave us a good view under the hood. The main department that uses it is mainly the voice and data department.
- Packet tracing and diagnostics.
- The visual analytics in the dashboard were good.
- Better analytics
- More historical views
- Packet analysis allows us to proactive.
- Understanding of network traffic
Compared to ExtraHop it lacked the network analytics that compares data from an L2 up. We were able to track down rogue devices. certificates, a DNS attack, etc. that would have been a little hard to do in LiveAction. On the flip side, compared to PRTG, LiveAction has many more features that PRTG is lacking. The reporting, actions and visual analytics alone were better.
