Overall Satisfaction with LogMeIn Resolve
We migrated from LogMeIn Central, which we used to remotely access computers, to LogMeIn Resolve in order to take advantage of the help desk and inventory features. The business problems it addresses are being able to run remote executions on multiple computers within one tenant without having to remote into each one individually, while also keeping track of hardware and software on each system.
Pros
- Remote execution
- Hardware inventory
- Software inventory
- Remote access to computers
- Remote file management
- Remote terminal access
Cons
- Maintain display choices between sessions
- More accurately represent computer uptime
- Provide ability to stop remote executions sooner
- Our IT team is small and we are able to share previous solutions in LogMeIn Resolve without having to reinvent the wheel each time a similar issue is e countered, resulting in significant time and resource savings.
- We can verify that windows updates and anti-virus are current.
- We can see a history of all the sessions for a given computer without having to refer back to any other applications, which is a huge time saving.
Again, having a small IT team, being able to use LogMeIn Resolve to accomplish so many of our day to day tasks is invaluable. Not having to switch between several applications to access information for all of our computers, across several physical locations has been very cost effective and has increased our overall productivity within our IT team.
- SolarWinds Service Desk (SSD)
Although the SolarWinds help desk worked well for our help desk and inventory purposes, it did not provide remote access ability or remote execution of executable files or scripts. We were looking for a product that integrated all of these tasks in order to simplify our day to day IT functions.
