Overall Satisfaction with Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite
Process mapping mainly. I use the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite to create process diagrams, use case diagrams, and other visual aids to explain how processes work at my organization.
Pros
- Process mapping
- Use case diagrams
- Other visual aids, e.g. showing data flow
Cons
- I would like a button to align all the boxes (vertical/horizontal alignment does NOT work)
- Make suggestions so that lines do not have to cross (I avoid crossing lines wherever possible, it looks cleaner)
- Auto-create a key/legend containing all elements in the diagram in a tidy little box at the bottom
- Save time not having to mess with aligning the arrows/lines like in Visio
- I can open compatible files (e.g. draw.io) so process maps don't have to be re-done
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is great because it means I can integrate with Jira and Confluence and it always has the link to the most up-to-date process map. Previously, I would have to save a PDF and upload it, which was very time-consuming when I needed to make changes. It saves a lot of admin that just wouldn't get done otherwise.
Much better, it doesn't get the steps in lines even a tenth as much as Visio, can use custom shapes as actual shapes rather than images, and aligns much easier. Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is easily the best and I have tried about 4-5 programs over the last 5 years.
