Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart
Lucidchart is being used as the main diagramming application for all the projects that we do. It is being used throughout the organization to design and blueprint various data product solutions that we are building. It comes with pre-imported templates and a massive amount of icons that allow easier drawing and development.
Pros
- Many built-in icons
- Integrated well with web search icons
- Nice graphic and automatic drawing assistant
Cons
- Not well integrated with other diagramming options
- Can only output PDF, PNG, and Lucidchart files
- Faster architecture approval through sharing feature
- Improved productivity
- Time saved on drawing due to nice automatic features
I mainly use Lucidchart to draw my cloud architecture diagram, and it has been super easy to use and delivered better time savings and faster project completion. I found the pre-built icons for AWS lag behind the official AWS published version, but that is a small drawback since it has a well-integrated web search capability.
Do you think Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite delivers good value for the price?
Yes
Are you happy with Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite's feature set?
Yes
Did Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite live up to sales and marketing promises?
Yes
Did implementation of Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite go as expected?
Yes
Would you buy Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite again?
Yes
They are very similar products, and the features offered by both applications are very similar as well. The only difference I can really think of between the two is the list of pre-built icons that come with the product. Lucidchart has far more built-in icons than draw.io and greater coverage.
