Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart

For me and my team, the templates seem to be the most helpful part of getting started right away. My colleague said he could upload a table from Excel into the org chart and the data appeared. Then we just have to go in and edit.
Originally recommended for org charting. It is for a department. I'm trying to structure my org in a cleaner more scalable way, and less hierarchically. There are limitations to how we can structure in our current HR system, and I am needing a better way to represent the org as I plan our long term talent strategy. At my client, I am also trying to wrap my head around their complex organization, so the tool is helping us identify stakeholders as advocates, neutral and resistors so that we can tailor our engagement to each type of stakeholder.
  • Moving boxes around on org chart.
  • Sharing a workspace with others on the team, even if they don't have full access.
  • Templates to help get started.
  • On the org chart, I don't have photos for people outside of my organization, so I want to get rid of the photo and not take up so much space when that is blank for everyone.
  • When I Zoom in and out, the controls get a little clunky.
  • Collaboration with team members and being able to update the same file at the same time and build off of each others' comments.
  • Time saved in trying to do this in Visio or PPT. Being able to upload names and titles is helpful.
  • I like the secure sign-on.
I haven't tried to integrate with any of those but now that I know, I will see how we can integrate with Salesforce and Microsoft. We use Slack sometimes, but it hasn't caught on as much as Microsoft Teams.
I haven't reached out to support yet. One of my colleagues requested I join a team, but after a week, the link was expired, so I had to ask him to re-add me and resend the invitation.

My colleague recommended Lucidchart for the functionality and ease of use. It's better than Visio and PowerPoint.
I have only tried to use Lucidchart for org charting, so I haven't tried to map processes or technical architecture, but my colleagues tell me that it is good for that.
