Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart
Recently tried Lucidchart as some coworkers recommended it. Works pretty well for diagramming software architecture. I like the integrations for icon/object searching especially for use with AWS components. When connecting arrows from one object to the next, it's really great that you can connect them at any point and not just at certain nodes. The text editing could use some work. It's very hard to properly select a part of text inside of an object if I want to edit it.
- Searching for images/icons.
- Connecting arrows at any point, not just at preset nodes.
- Side panel to see and manage available shapes.
- Text editing. Very hard to select text without it trying to reselect the object instead.
- Resizing one object in a group of object. It would be great if I could designate some objects to stay the same size but move with the group. Example being an icon in the corner of a box or other object.
- It's ok, not much different from other similar tools.
I have not used these features.
