Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart
Our Operations/Support and Product/Development team use Lucidchart to map processes out for everyone else to see. It makes it much easier to explain how certain things come together and highlights the interaction between departments happening in the background. We also use Lucidchart to illustrate the processes to the other companies we've partnered with for the loan servicing and funding.
- Mapping Processes
- Encourages collaboration
- Offers many templates with examples
- Helpful support resources
- I wish there was a short sentence for each shape as you hover over it that explained what it was typically used for in a process flow. For example, hovering over the diamond would show a box that said 'diamond- used to represent a decision/choice'
- I wish there was a way to add an asterisk that you could click on to expand for further detail. Some steps can be expanded on but the additional details aren't really necessary or are too long to put all within that one shape.
- I'd like if you could add a question/note and then tag a specific person to that note. That way, if you had a question or needed more info about a certain step, you could tag whomever would have the answer and then they can come in and provide the answers.
- Improved communication among teams
- Improved product design
- Time-saving in training new people on the processes
We don't use any of the integrations except for Slack, however I don't know what features that adds and have not seen any personal benefit from the integration.

Miro has some pretty nice features but Lucidchart has better templates and shape options. I do miss the 'frame' feature in Miro that allows you to create a box around a set of steps and then you're able to move the entire box with all of the steps and arrows as one single element. As far as I know, Lucidchart does not have this option (but it should!!)
