Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart

It's very usable out of the box but there are a few things that I wish were more intuitive, such as alignment of swimlanes in the document.
We are using Lucidchart in Operations, Finance, and HR to diagram as-is processes as well as identifying opportunities to improve for the future. We switched over from VIsio to increase the accessibility of our diagramming tools for users who are on non-MS operating systems. We were able to import files from Visio into Lucidchart seamlessly, so none of our previous work was lost. Lucidchart has been easy to learn and so far we've been able to get a lot done with it in a relatively short period of time.
  • Import and edit Visio files
  • Provides good guidance and help to get you started
  • Easy to collaborate with other users
  • Easy to duplicate pages
  • Make swimlane titles lockable (so that they appear as you scroll across the screen)
  • Give the option to "hold" a copy/paste shape (repeatedly)
  • make it easier to zoom into specific sections/shapes
  • Increased productivity
  • Increased collaboration on workflows
  • Increased collaboration across the organization
Lucidchart's integration with Slack makes it easy to stay current on updates and comments on your workflows.
Haven't really accessed support yet but I am cautiously optimistic it will be good. I think I'd have more to say about this if we'd been using it longer, but it's just been a few weeks and we've mostly been in DIY-mode.

Yes

Did Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite again?

Yes

Visio is a high-performance tool, but we couldn't really use it to collaborate in a team that has a mix of Mac and Windows computers. Trying to get licenses coordinated and virtual machines set up was a mess. It was significantly easier and less expensive to just get a Visio Team subscription and let everyone get on with their actual jobs.
We've only been using it for a few weeks, but our primary reason for choosing Lucidchart was that we needed something that would import Visio files and let us edit them collaboratively. As a team, we use multiple operating systems, so having something that was web-based that allows us to collaborate was a high priority. The Mac users on our team were previously using Parallels to run Visio but it just didn't work the way we wanted it to. So far, Lucidchart has been working well for our team. It also integrates well with Slack, which is a great way to manage notifications/updates.
