Overall Satisfaction with Lucidspark

In the product management department, we use Lucidspark to create quick visual prototypes of features we can implement. We used to use paper, sticky notes, and whiteboards to accomplish this, but in a remote-first world everything needs to be digital. Lucidspark has helped us collaborate more easily and jointly develop prototypes faster.
  • Rapid prototyping.
  • Collaborative design.
  • Design management.
  • Lucidspark isn't very intuitive to navigate. draw.io is easier to understand.
  • Lucidspark tries to make things easier but often fails. If I want a rectangular box with some text and I want to link it to another box, the font size will be different on the new box.
  • I still have no idea how to access icons and other basic features.
  • Pitching ideas to stakeholders or leadership is much more effective when presented visually. Lucidspark is a very good tool for creating these visuals fast.
  • It is very convenient to be able to organize ideas, and Lucidspark does a great job of helping my team structure our ideas.
  • Lucid[sparks]'s design features are somewhat limiting. I have to compromise on certain visuals.
Lucidspark has a good interface, but it could be so much better. It's very difficult to find functions like the line thickness on a rectangle or icons that could be incorporated. I still haven't been able to find shapes in the toolbar. I much prefer draw.io's interface. It has more features while feeling cleaner.
Our team doesn't use any of the integration with Slack, Google Drive, or Lucidchart, but we do appreciate the ability to share links to designs with teammates. We store these links on a spreadsheet where we have added descriptions of the features we're prototyping.
Overall, Lucidspark does a good job of enabling collaboration in my team. We can adjust designs and share thoughts easily on the canvas. This has been a big improvement over designing on pen and paper and having to reach over each other's shoulders or get room on the whiteboard.

Do you think Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite's feature set?

Yes

Did Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite again?

Yes

draw.io is great for creating diagrams and mockups. It is easier to use than Lucidspark and is free. Where it lacks is collaboration. I can't collaborate with my teammates with draw.io like I can with Lucidspark. For that reason, my team uses Lucidspark, which does about 98% of what draw.io does + easier collaboration.
Lucidspark is great if you're looking for professional diagraming software where you can create designs easily while collaborating with teammates. It has most of the basics that anyone would want. It isn't the most navigable software, and there are similar products with more limited functionality out in the market for free.
