Overall Satisfaction with M‑Files

M-Files is used across the organization for document management.
  • Workflow
  • Version history
  • Permissions: a "search" bar would be incredibly helpful for adding users on the permissions tab in the client and admin tool
  • Search: sorts by document score and not document name, which is what most folks search on
  • Improved document management
  • Active Directory
Does not work with our AD structure, so user groups are manually maintained, which is one of our pain-points.
We demoed 3 different tools, and our user group unanimously chose M-Files over the others for its user-friendly interface.
The M-Files workflow feature is fantastic, and a lot of our departments use this feature to review/approve various documents.

The metadata feature is a concept that is lost on a lot of people, so there is a big learning curve when new folks start using it.
