Overall Satisfaction with Magnolia

For more than 3 years Magnolia has been used in our website, marketing team manages the content and configurations of the website based on the business need. Admin UI of Magnolia is user-friendly where users can apply the changes, review and verify in author and make it available for the public without any interaction with the developer. And the developer can focus on customization requests based on the business needs instead of managing content.
  • Helps in decision making, content can be replaced with new or edit content, based on few configuration changes in Magnolia.
  • Customization is done based on the business needs and that will improve the business process.
  • Reduced number of systems in managing content, as everything is stored in single repository i.e. JCR.
From the Front End developer perspective, I am creating the components in React for my website, and those are easily embedded into the websites via a free marker template, and when that component is rendered is depends on the configuration in magnolia.
Then marketing team decides when to use those components by changing the configurations.
Performance for development perspective, widgets are developed too efficiently and those are used per the business needs by changing a few of the configuration in Magnolia. That will further help in decision making like when that widget or feature makes it available for public use and that will improve the business processes.
Alkami I have used before just for managing the assets like images, JS, and css bundle files. But after I used Magnolia, I came to know there are a lot of things that need to be taken care of.

Do you think Magnolia delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Magnolia's feature set?

Yes

Did Magnolia live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Magnolia go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Magnolia again?

Yes

Magnolia is well suited where content does not change at frequent intervals. E.g. on our website, the page is created for every product, and the content of the page change so often.
And for the less appropriate, where the content is changed at frequent intervals and maximum of the content comes after the heavy calculations or rules.
