Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our company has two locations, one in Illinois and one in New Jersey. We normally use Malwarebytes to pick up PUPs (potentially unwanted programs) that are not normally caught by our virus software. This is installed on all of our computers. It is very reliable and user friendly. We first started using MWB about 8 years ago. They are constantly running updates to better the program.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Picks up PUPS that other programs don't.
Picks up adware that other programs don't.
Picks up root kits that other programs don't.
Very user friendly and easy to navigate.
Easy to renew license.
Very good price for licenses on multiple computers.

Cons

Make it easier to find the area where you enter the activation code or key code. Sometimes it's hard to find, too many clicks to get to it.
Offer a rewards program for renewals.
Offer reward points.

Return on Investment

It has had a positive impact because it finds PUPS, malware and adware that other programs don't pick up.
Less than a year for a ROI
It has saved us thousands of dollars in IT fees by finding other malware.

Alternatives Considered

Norton Internet Security

Our office selected this software over Norton because it picked up malware that Norton did not pick up. Malwarebytes is very user friendly, cost effective and reliable. We like that they are constantly running updates to improve their software. Everything is well laid out in one square. It is also very easy to uninstall, where other software requires more action.

Likelihood to Recommend

Malwarebytes is best suited to run in the background and set to start scanning upon reboots and start ups. I like that it runs flawlessly in the background and doesn't interrupt my running programs. It is also best suited to run after a major scan of your primary virus scan. It tends to find additional stuff that other virus scans don't pick up on.

26 - Malwarebytes is used by everyone in our company, including the president, upper management, outside sales team, office manager, vice president of sales, technical support and parts department. Our office in New Jersey also uses it, which includes a sales team, parts and technical support, receptionist and office manager. Everyone is happy with this software.
