Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use ManageEngine Endpoint Central for Soft- and hardware inventory, as well as software distribution, patch management, imaging, browser configuration and configuration of workstations.

I general we needed a service to configure and control all our desktops, find we it attractive to have all functions in one piece of software - which we have with ManageEngine Endpoint Central.

The actual webportal is fine and easy to work with, but the various GUI shown to users in Self Service Portal as well as notifications when updating and patching desktops, really needs a overhaul.

Would be nice if you onstead was using general Windows GUI type of message boxes etc., as the design you have implemented in various popups looks very home made and unprofessional. Multiple times I have been asked by users, if we have been hacked/compromised, when your notifications show on the screen.

Likelihood to Recommend

Its a one stop shop for managing small to midsized companies, but I would be nervous to rely on the product in large installations. I feel both stability, updating of software etc. is to unreliable and require to much support from Manage Engine, to keep a float.
Also to often you find a patch to the product, solve one problem but implement another, which leaves us thinking the testing of updates is not performed very well/comprehensive.
