Overall Satisfaction with ManageEngine Endpoint Central

We use ManageEngine Endpoint Central Software Deployment, OS Deployment, Patch management, MDM and Configuration Management. It keeps our clients and servers up to date on Patches and new software versions. It keeps our Clients Compliant to our preset configurations. It easily sets up our new PCs and Smartphones. Users can choose additional Software packages to install and don't need admin access to set those up. The Remote Access tool allows us to help users without them having to exchange numbers and passwords with us.

  • Browser security needs logs, to see why a file was blocked
  • OS deployment to smaller sized Hardrived than the source
  • Reduction from over 2000 missing patches to under 500 on a Network with 250 Clients
  • Setup time for new PCs reduced to 20 Minutes including OS, settings, certificates, Domain Join, and Office installation.
  • almost all need for admin intervention for installation of standard Software is no longer required, as users can use the Selfservice Portal
Its almost perfect, but the updates and patches for the ManageEngine Server itself could be easier to apply. In my opinion it needs the option to install the Updates over the web interface.
It holds up very well even against the microsoft native solution Microsoft Intune.
The Configurations are easy to set up and apply quickly over the selected scope of Clients.
You have a almost real time inventory of everything detected by the agent.
The Patch management with a Test and approve group was way easier to set up than in the competitor products.

It is perfect for a middle sized company to manage Patches, Software, and Hardware settings. You can manage almost all device types, from smartphones and laptops to big servers from multiple vendors and almost all Operating Systems. It is not suited for tiny Companies and offices (5-10 Workstations) , as it's features are way beyond the needs of those.
