Marketo is being used for all client and prospect emails including operational emails. It is being used across the majority of our organization but is owned by marketing.

Our goal is to mostly upsell and cross-sell to drive revenue from our current client base. We are also sending out surveys, product announcements, content and operational emails. Marketo helps us communicate with our current clients and prospects through the salesforce integration. This integration also helps route our inbound leads from the website, seo and sem.
Marketo is a more robust tool that can handle our volume of leads, integrate with salesforce and is an easy tool to use.
Tracking and facilitating lead nurturing. They have a robust program structure that can help create state of the art nurturing campaigns. The functionalities are easy to use and they also have some built in logic. The best built in logic is that each email has a unique code associated with it and a person cannot receive that email multiple times.
