Works, but not great
Overall Satisfaction with McGraw-Hill Connect
Connect provides access to digital materials for teachers and students. There are also family materials available to assist parents/guardians in helping their students be successful. Teachers can also assign pre-made or custom created assignments to students. Connect is the go-to companion for physical curriculum components. Assignments give students instant feedback on correct/incorrect responses and level of understanding. For my use Connect also connects with NWEA to provide expectations for student understanding going into a new unit.
Pros
- Integrates with Clever
- Meets State and National Standards
- Staff professional development.
Cons
- Very basic integration with Google Classroom. (Link to MH Connect)
- No Test editor/creater
- Difficult to edit assignments
- Difficult to navigate user interface
- Short auto-logout period
- Updated curriculum to something that meets CCSS (Common Core)
- Unified 6-12 math curriculum
- Family access that wasn't available with prior curriculum.
Very similar, both advertised integration with LMS, but is only at surface level. MGH had better core content, but Pearson came with test editor. As far as physical materials, MGH had options for hard coverer textbook or single use student workbook where competitors only offered textbooks. All options were aligned with CCSS.
