Overall Satisfaction with Meltwater Media Intelligence Platform

Our publicity team used it to track hits that we got for different books. We tracked reviews, interviews, mentions, award nominations, etc. as well as interaction with our social media accounts. We also used it to find quotes or blurbs from authors' previous books to include on the jacket of upcoming editions or new books.

Pros

  • The keyword system is very detailed and effective.
  • It is able to track hits across lots of different platforms, including social media.
  • The support team is excellent and always willing to help.

Cons

  • The price is quite high.
  • We needed more accounts but would have needed to purchase them.
  • It was somewhat difficult to get all of the formatting for the keywords correct.
  • It allowed us to compile hits for different titles in an extremely easy way.
  • However, it was quite expensive, and I'm not sure if the ROI was quite worth it.

It's very good for publicity teams, as it will help them to track the bookings they get and present them in a concise, easy to understand way. It's also great for comparing the value of reviews to advertising. It's also useful for editorial teams, as they are able to find quotes to use for blurbs on upcoming titles.
