Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Access

It's being used by our department for our vast database management system. It's helping us automate repetitive tasks with a variety of point and click options. Our department organizes many events and Access enables us to look into the financials, preparation and organization of each event, including any specific notes that were mentioned for each event.
  • Easily integrates with Excel.
  • Simple installation.
  • Easy to create instructions for users.
  • Crashes periodically.
  • Many bug reports.
  • When there are updates, users often have to exit.
  • Data Management
  • Event Management
  • Financial Organization
  • No need to use spreadsheets
  • Microsoft Excel
In my organization, tracking and reporting of user role access is difficult to achieve and formerly only done using spreadsheets. Integrating these multiple spreadsheets into a single database to run reports and comparisons from has been extremely valuable.
It is great for creating referential databases and for managing small data sets. Would be less appropriate when you have multiple administrators using it because of confusion regarding decoding, etc.
