Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Access

We currently utilize Microsoft Access for data capture and analysis purposes. The application allows us to aggregate various reports into one high level report, which represents the true needs of the data. We've created automation within the application, as well as easy to use interfaces to allow non-tech associates the ability to create reports.
  • Ability to query data.
  • Ability to analyze data from multiple sources.
  • Development of queries and table are not user-friendly for non-programmers
  • Efficiency through process automation.
  • Accuracy of removing human intervention with report building.
  • Excel
I believe Microsoft Access to be a more powerful and robust application than Microsoft Excel as it allows for more automation opportunities and larger amounts of data to be pulled into and queried within the system. My personal opinion is also that Access is easier to query data with than Excel.
Microsoft Access is well suited for a business analyst role, or where tends and reports of complicated data will be reviewed as the application easily allows a user to query on specific data criteria. The application can also be useful for table and report creation where data is needed from various reports.
